Ambassador of Ukraine to South Africa Olexander Scherba took part in strategical workshop «EuropeAfrica 2030: Ukraine and the Africa-EU Partnership» held on 1–2 July in Nairobi, focused on Ukraine, Africa, and the broader partnership between the EU and the African continent.

The participants discussed practical ways to strengthen Ukraine’s engagement with Africa, including in the context of Ukraine’s European integration, the EU Global Gateway initiative, infrastructure corridors, trade, investment, security, and coordination with European partners.

A separate focus was placed on the exchange of experience between Ukrainian diplomats working across Africa, which is essential for better understanding regional dynamics, identifying new opportunities for cooperation, and advancing mutually beneficial dialogue with African partners.
