Trade and economic cooperation
According to the results of 2021, the volume of bilateral trade in goods amounted to 745.3 thousand USD and decreased by 2.1 times compared to the same period in 2020. At the same time, the export of goods from Ukraine to Namibia amounted to 332.0 USD (growth of 5.0%), and imports - were 413.3 thousand USD (9.8 times increase). The negative balance for Ukraine during this period amounted to 81.3 thousand USD.
Ukrainian exports mainly consisted of pharmaceutical products - 137.4 thousand USD (growth by 2.9%), mineral fuels, mineral oils, and products of their distillation - 48.7 thousand USD (decrease by 2.3 times), meat and edible meat offal - 37.8 thousand USD (decrease by 9.8%), machinery, mechanical appliances, nuclear reactors, boilers; parts thereof - 27.1 thousand USD (increase by 3.8 times) and iron and steel – 20.3 thousand USD (8.5 times increase).
In the structure of imports, the main positions were edible fruit and nuts, imported in the amount of 300.2 thousand USD (increase by 18.8 times), fish and crustaceans - 74.5 thousand USD (increase by 3.4 times), and works of art – 30.1 thousand USD (18.3 times growth).
Export of services decreased by 12.1% and amounted to 352.5 thousand USD, data on imports are not made public in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On State Statistics" regarding the confidentiality of statistical information.
