On the 22nd of February 2012 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Namibia H.E. Dr. Valery Hrebeniuk met with the President of Namibia Hifikepunye Pohamba and the Founder of Independent Namibia, first President the country Sam Nujoma.

During the meeting both sides discussed a number of issues on bilateral cooperation between two countries.

In the context of intensification of political dialogue interlocutors stressed the necessity of the activation of collaboration in the framework of the UN and other international organizations, cooperation in the framework of peacekeeping operations on the African continent.

President of Namibia and Ambassador of Ukraine also discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation, education and studying of Namibian citizens in Ukrainian universities.

During the meeting with President S. Nujoma, sides noted Ukraine's contribution to the liberation struggle in Africa, particularly in Namibia.
