On the 23d of February 2012 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of South Africa and the Republic of Namibia H.E. Dr. Valery Hrebeniuk met with the Prime Minister of Namibia Mr.Nahas Angula.

During the meeting sides discussed a range of issues: in particular - trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Namibia and the potential of the two sides to increase bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador of Ukraine confirmed that Ukraine is interested to have representations of Ukrainian companies in Namibia and is ready to assist in developing of mineral and energy sectors, to supply the different equipment and to participate in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the Republic of Namibia.

The Prime Minister of Namibia Angula stressed that the importance of creation of bilateral commission on trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Namibia for both countries which has to become a mechanism for developing concrete sectors of cooperation between two sides.

Ambassador and the Prime Minister also agreed to work out the possibility for the visit of Namibian government and business officials to Ukraine.

Both sides discussed diferent projects of bilateral agreements that are under consideration of Ukraine and Namibia.
