On May 15, 2012, in the framework of the official visit of Namibian military delegation to Ukraine Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin met with Minister of Defense of the Republic of Namibia Charles Namoloh.

During the negotiations Minister of Defence of Ukraine stressed that Ukraine and the Republic of Namibia have great potential for cooperation in the defense sphere, in particular, the cooperation in fields of military education, training of troops and participation in peacekeeping operations.

Minister of Defense of the Republic of Namibia underlined the importance of further development of Ukrainian-Namibian cooperation, especially in military-technical field. He also expressed hope that this visit will be a serious step to establishing fruitful contacts between two countries, including intensification of the signing of the agreement on defense cooperation between Ukraine and Namibia.
