On May 10, 2012, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of South Africa H.E. Dr. Valery Hrebeniuk met with Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa Marius Fransman.

During the meeting sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and agreed on the program of the visit of Deputy Minister to Ukraine and the agenda of political consultations at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and South Africa, which will be held in Kyiv on 16-17 May 2012.

It was noted that both countries must raise the level of economic and scientific-technical cooperation which is an important part of intensification of bilateral political dialogue.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of South Africa and Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa agreed that the visit of South African delegation to Ukraine is an important step towards a real deepening of bilateral relations.
