On May 16, 2012 the second round of Ukrainian and South African political consultations was held.

Ukrainian delegation was headed by H.E. Yevhen Mykytenko, Special representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa. The South African side was headed by H.E.RapulaneMolekane, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa.

During the meeting the Sides exchanged views on the range of issues on the development of bilateral relations.

The Sides agreed the need to intensify the bilateral political dialogue at the high and the highest levels and to widen the cooperation between the two Ministries at bilateral level and in the framework of international organizations.

Special attention was paid by the Sides to the intensification of bilateral cooperation in economic sphere and the development of bilateral legal base.
