On 14 July, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of South Africa H.E. Dr Olexander Scherba participated in a meeting of EU Heads of Mission hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to South Africa.
The meeting provided an important opportunity to exchange views on key developments in South Africa and across the African continent, as well as to discuss shared priorities and further coordination among European partners.
Ambassador Scherba reaffirmed Ukraine’s commitment to European values, principles and standards, and highlighted the growing integration of Ukrainian diplomacy into the wider European diplomatic community.
The Ambassador also extended his sincere appreciation and best wishes to H.E. Sandra Kramer, Ambassador of the European Union, H.E. Andreas Peschke, Ambassador of Germany, H.E. David Martinon, Ambassador of France, H.E. Paul Jansen, Ambassador of Belgium, and H.E. Antonis Mandritis, High Commissioner of Cyprus, as they prepare to conclude their assignments in South Africa and continue their diplomatic service in new capacities.
