Traditionally, the meeting was devoted to issues of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Western Cape Province in the areas of regional cooperation, high technology, infrastructure and tourism. Special attention was paid to cooperation in the field of agriculture. In particular, sides discussed a possible purchase of Ukrainian grain and, provided the Ukrainian side remains to be interested, the Republic of South Africa to assist Ukrainian wine-makers in implementation of new technologies in this field.

Sides also discussed the possible participation of Ukrainian companies in infrastructural projects in the Western Cape Province.
