Ukrainian Bookshelf was opened at Central Library, Cape Town!

The project of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Book Institute was initiated by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of South Africa and the Ukrainian Association of South Africa.

During the opening ceremony, the guests of the library learned more about Ukrainian literature and enjoyed the poetry reading by South African poets.

In the opening address, Ambassador Liubov Abravitova shared with the audience the significance of the project and its global impact.

In partnership with the Ukrainian Association of South Africa, the Embassy donated a variety of books on art, children's literature, Ukrainian history, fiction, poetry, and guidebooks to the library.
