Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha addressed this Spier Dialogue 2026 in Stellenbosch (South Africa).

He briefed the conference on the current situation in Ukraine’s freedom fight against Russian aggression. He also urged African partners to confront a critical threat: Russia’s deceptive recruitment of African youth into its occupying forces. 

“If a nation stands for freedom – no one will break it. In the end, the freedom fight is a fight that no empire can win. That’s why you prevailed. And that is why we in Ukraine will prevail too”, he said in conclusion.
