Happy Independence Day of Ukraine from Riversdale, South Africa, where the only museum of Ukrainian culture in Sub Saharan Africa is located! 

Today Ambassador of Ukraine to South Africa Liubov Abravitova visited the museum and planted the tree at Ha!Qua Youth Centre. 

It is the indigenous tree called Ecebergia Capensis.

We have a long relationship between the two towns, Voznesensk in Ukraine and Hessequa in South Africa, based on MOU regarding the establishment of friendly cooperation. So the participants of the meeting with the Ambassador were people who visited Voznesensk within the programs of Voznesensk Municipality. Some of under 14 years soccer team members (now young adults) also attended the ceremony.
