On September 30th, Ambassador Olexander Scherba had a meeting with H.E. Fateh Boutbig, the President of Pan-African Parliament. Ambassador briefed him on current state of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and encouraged Africa to renew its mediation in bringing it to an end. He stressed that recent condemnation of the war by South Africa and India might create a momentum in the Global South towards restoring peace and bringing Russia back to respecting the rules and principles of the UN Charter. Both sides agreed to continue the dialogue on the matter.
