About 4,500 guests, including leaders of different African states, African international organizations, diplomatic corps, traditional local leaders and clergy, members of the Government and the Parliament of South Africa, other members of current and former authorities, influential politicians and businessmen attended this event. In his inaugural speech Mr. J.Zuma noted, in particular, that this very day marks the completion of the first phase of transformation of the South African society from apartheid to democracy and beginning of the next, second phase, which foresees fulfillment of the National Development Plan 2030, including the program of radical social and economic changes for the next 5 years. Regarding foreign policy, the President of South Africa confirmed his commitment in strengthening a role of the Republic of South Africa on the African continent as well as in the frameworks of the universal international organizations.
