In 2019, the Embassy of Ukraine to South Africa took targeted measures to develop trade and economic cooperation.
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in 2019 the volume of bilateral trade in goods amounted to 123.1 million USD. At the same time, exports of goods from Ukraine to South Africa amounted to 44.4 million USD, and imports of goods from South Africa to Ukraine amounted to 78.7 million USD
The TOP-6 products that were most exported during 2019 include grain crops - exported in the amount of 18.7 million USD (growth by 45.6%); fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin - 15.4 million USD (31.2 times increase); milk and dairy products, poultry eggs; natural honey - 2.6 million USD; flour and cereal industry products - almost 2 million USD; nuclear reactors, boilers, machines - $ 1.1 million USD; vegetables - 972.5 thousand USD.
The total volume of trade in services in 2019 amounted to 4.5 million USD.
Exports of services amounted to 2.5 million USD, imports of services amounted to 2 million USD. The positive balance of bilateral trade in services for Ukraine during this period amounted to 509 thousand USD.
